"Children of the World" Photo Essay in Dec 1979 Issue of Petersen's Photographic Magazine
When I returned from my world travels in April 1979, I approached Photographic Magazine about writing an article on The International Year of the Child (IYC), illustrated with my b&w photographs. The IYC was a UNICEF iniative, with an Executive Order signed by President Carter, to address children's rights. Petersen's liked the idea, however they decided to publish the photo essay with 13 of my color images instead. That article is posted below.
It took me another 35 years to print the b&w images that were exhibited in my first show "Children of the World", on November 12 - 28, 2014, at the World Wide Gallery in Venice, CA. The exhibition included both color and b&w 20x30 prints. I guess better late then never :)
